Favourite place

Do you remember your favourite place? I had so many of them when I was younger. In fact I still find them. As a child I used to spend a lot of time in the countryside. I used to visit my family during holidays and we always played outdoors. I was playing with other children for most of the time, however there were moments when I just wanted to be on my own.

This is when I used to go to my favourite place sit down on the ground and observe nature. I remember trying to memorise what I saw by creating shapes on my kness using only my fingers making sure they could stay with me as long as possible.

These places have been living in my memory for a long time and they sometimes come back. When I paint a certain landscape I change some parts by adding some of the elements from my favourite location. Its almost the same as visiting them again.

I am sure most of us have a favourite place like that. Imagine how lovely would it be to go there every time you need to relax and let your imagination take you for a journey. Imagine seeing your favourite place "through the artist's eye". This is the power of art for me.

I would love to recreate somebody's else favourite spot and I am sure I will one day:)

By that time I would like to share with you some of my places hidden in my contemporary landscapes. You may connect with them the same way I do.
